Trauma Therapy & EMDR Intensives in California
Therapy that helps you connect with yourself.
You might be here because…
You take care of everyone but yourself.
You’re the one people turn to but no one seems to notice how much you’re holding. You’re tired of always being “the strong one” and wondering when it will finally be your turn to rest.
You’re ready to heal from complex trauma.
You’ve carried pain that didn’t start with you—childhood wounds, generational patterns, attachment injuries. You’re ready to finally make space for your healing and learn how to care for the parts of you that have felt unseen for too long.
You keep finding yourself in the same relationship patterns.
Whether it’s family, friendships, or romantic relationships, you feel stuck in dynamics that drain you. You want to break these cycles but don’t quite know where they come from or how to change them.
You are navigating a challenging season of life.
Change can be hard, even when it’s something you chose. Whether you’re adjusting to a new role or identity, a relationship shift, or rediscovering who you are, therapy can help you find your footing and feel more grounded through it all.
You’ve done therapy before, but you’re ready to go deeper.
You’ve gained insight, but something still feels unresolved. You sense there’s more beneath the surface—old wounds, protective parts, and stories you’ve carried for years that still shape how you see yourself.
You don’t have to do this alone.
About Mary Mallinson, LCSW (she/her)
I’m Mary Mallinson, a licensed clinical social worker, a first-generation Asian American, an eldest daughter, a mom, a partner, and a therapist based in California.
My work is rooted in compassion and curiosity—I see you as a whole person and want to truly understand your story. I know how heavy it can feel to carry the weight of family dynamics, expectations, and the pressure to keep everything together.
In our work together, I help you slow down and connect with the parts of yourself that have been overlooked or silenced.
Through approaches like Internal Family Systems (IFS) and EMDR, including EMDR intensives, we can move beyond talk therapy to create deeper, lasting healing—helping you process the past and reconnect with the parts of you that are ready to heal.
Find your voice. Own your story. Create your peace.

Talk Therapy + EMDR
Combining traditional therapy with EMDR allows for both reflection and deep healing — helping you understand your patterns. Together, we’ll work toward lasting change from the inside out.
